People comment abt me alot.. whether in front or behind my back.. I know it.. it may seem to them that its within 4 walls or just among them.. but somehow news just reaches my ears on and off.. I find it a joke..comments abt all sorts of stuff.. comparing this n that.. wats constructive abt that?? I find it a total joke.. just because I am a real person who says whats on my mind .. I get all this crap.. amusing I find.. while on the other hand .. the rest of the look so strong in spirit n in mind.. I dun believe all that.. its just deceptive feelings we all get.. We are just afraid to look vulnerable..

I withdrew from some people this sem not cos I dun have time.. but rather the words are destructive n I have a choice not to listen to people who compares me with so and so.. or instill in me negative thoughts which do not come from God..

I rather save myself from such nonsense.. Waste time only..I will not destroy my day because of them.. Silly..

Its gonna be friday soon.. last day of uni lessons for this year.. the last few days was choking me seriously.. so stressed.. no time to eat n sleep.. was almost living like a zombie.. but its over now.. sat for the immuno test today.. it wasnt too bad.. but i did make some really super duper stupid mistake.. I bet when Chris Wong marks my paper he would be laughing his head off.. the receptor qns.. all the 3 receptors that was supposed to come to my head but they unfortunately didnt.. supposed to be B cell, T cell and Fc receptor but I wrote crap.. nvm..that was 3 marks down the drain..

Afternoon session was my prac exam.. I was calm ..very calm in fact.. had a crappy microscope that couldnt move down at all .. imagine only can move up a little bit and to the sides.. oh man.. that was horrible.. but I knew sth was wrong so I changed microscope.. cos otherwise I couldnt do viable count n view the gram stains ..that would be horrible.. everything was fine.. n I actually finished early.. but the haemagglutination part wasnt fantastic cos I had a wrong result.. but thank God the negative control turned out well otherwise my demostrator would have marked me down.. cos the results would be rendered invalid if the negative control was rubbish...so things didnt go too wrong.. just something minor..hehe..

Just want to thank all those who r praying for me especially for yoshi, danny n samuel.. really sweet people.. Chocolate for yoshi tmr for being a sweet darling.. she rang me this morning to wake me up.. chocolate for u dear..

I just finished my prac report.. 8 pages in 4 hrs.. Thanks yin ying n Linh.. u guys r of great help.. gonna rewrite my summative tute then I am done..

Tmr is gonna be a good day.. gonna celebrate yiyi's birthday.. though a late celebration.. its a gathering before exams.. a time of bonding n love.. love u all.. hope u will like the dress I got u..

I wonder if tmr we have another sabo session for Mossie? Will upload Paul n Mossie sabo pics soon.. Those taken at glenelg..

Getting along with people is never easy..

I try to be nice to everyone.. but some people just simply go overboard n step all over me.. tolerance has its limits... n its repeatedly the same few people.. its getting very annoying..

I dun understand y some people r so nasty n hard to communicate with..

Tolerating still...

When I want to be nasty to them in return.. I think twice.. I dunno how to be nasty.. Its God that stops me... otherwise I would have lashed out at them...

8 Things/Attitudes I Dislike

1. People who are unappreciative and full of negative comments.
2. People who are bossy.. they love to tell me what to do n I will rebel against them.
3. When my whole day is lessons from 9am to 6pm nonstop..no lunch break
4. When I am busy, someone still comes n ask me to cough out my answers ( Cant u see that I
am stressed?)
5. When I have to fix my meals when I cannot even manage all my other stuff
6. When people insist I go for certain things ( I dun believe in being forced. I will go if I am
willing)
7. When I have 3 or more assignments to hand up in a day
8. When people take me for granted ( even right now so many people r doing this)

I know this post is grumpy.. Cos I am right now.. This moment.. But I m being real to everyone.. Come on.. who likes to be treated this way???

At 9.30pm last night, I was hurt, upset n to a certain degree mad after reading an email. I am no longer angry now, neither m I hurt or upset because God brought forgiveness in my heart within 2 hrs last night. I think its amazing especially the content which I replied in that email directly after I read it. It didnt show any sight of anger but more of love and reasoning. It isnt because I was afraid. No..it wasnt at all. It was out of respect for the other person. Its deep respect that I have in my heart. It is God woven words not of mine. I cannot post here what I wrote. But I did show someone the content, a godly brother who knows both of us and understand us.

That moment I didnt know what to do. I just needed someone to assure me that I am fine. That moment all confidence is lost. In that few sentences in that email, it shattered entirely all. I actually felt inferior.. can u imagine, Prissy who is loud, confident, outgoing suddenly become a mouse feeling so useless and extra..my goodness.. I changed my msn nick last night and immediately a few people msn me but I only shared my pain n hurt entirely with a close brother, his reply really comforted me.

Brother: Your reaction is good! God will be happy!
Me (Feels comforted and happy that I did the right thing )
Brother: really well done! I am impressed by ur reply email.

Of late there were quite a few people who told me that I have changed for the better. I can control my anger more n I am more tolerant. Initially I didnt agree with them that I have change, at least not significant change. From Janice to Siew wai as well as to some other brothers, I am delighted to have changed but it isnt any of my works but of God and God alone! 2 weeks ago, after OCF Joanna came to hug me and she encouraged me. I still remember it till now cos its important to me. Its important for us to encourage one another in love. We all need a pat on our back!

I no longer feel inadequate now because my confidence is in God not in man! I also forgave that person completely to the extend that I prayed for him last night and I seek God ernestly to bless him aboundantly. I cannot imagine how I managed to do this. Just 2 hours ago I was mad with this person, 2 hrs later I can actually forgive and seek God for his blessing on this person. God is just so amazing. I can never be that forgiving until God intervenes!

I am glad I honoured God!

Colossians 3:13

"Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. "

Finally, I hope we all can lead by EXAMPLE n SENSITIVITY not POSITION. Let us learn together...

Doing Good to All

Galations 6

1Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

No Christian should ever think that he or she is totally independent and doesn’t need help from others, and no one should feel excused from the task of helping others. The body of Christ – the church – functions only when members work together for the common good. Do you know someone who needs help? Is there a Christian brother or sister who needs correction or encouragement? Humbly and gently reach out to that person ( John 13:34-35 )
1 John 3

1How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

As believers, our self-worth is based on the fact that God loves us and calls us his children. We are his children now, not just sometime in the distant future. Knowing that we are his children should encourage us to live as Jesus did.

Are we living the life as Jesus lived?
Yesterday was an awesome day! It was Moon cake Festival and guess wat I actually celebrated Moon cake Festival with 4 different gangs this year. First, had mooncake in Sydney over at Clarence place, next Mooncake with amanda and my dearest coursemates over at Botanical Gardens the following week, and yesterday had Mooncake over at Leny and Jessie's place and finally the finale for last night was at Torrens River after OCF with Moses, Ian, Leeping, Samuel, Karen, Yoshi, Joannies, Paul and Keith. We had a cool time man! Did something different this time. Fancy adult children playing with lanterns, candles and bubbles ( Thanks to Ivy, Joannies and Keith for supplying us our play stuff! )

For me, Mooncake Festivals have always been nothing interesting until I came to adelaide. I should say that I never knew or remembered the festival to be associated with something fun.
Last year during Moon cake Festival, we had this celebration over at Ringwood with mooncakes and dessert and some close friends. This year is more happening and more child-like and also more memorable and enjoyable as well.

Also dinner was great. At that time when I was supposed to be in OCF, I was tucking into a yummy dinner spread of nasi lemak, grilled chicken, stir fried vege, and soup at Jessie's place. We had black glutinous rice and mooncakes ( Green tea, lotus paste and taro flavour ) for dessert as well. I have been wanting to spend time with them since we returned from Sydney but no time till yesterday. But I left after dinner cos I didnt wanted to miss out on fellowship with OCFers. Almost lost my way to aacc. Firstly cos I havent been there for a while and secondly it was dark. But God still brought me there safely. I came timely to catch the Ecamp trailer.. and fellowship..

Anyway yesterday I had fun the WHOLE day. hehe..Taken lots of photos also.. Waiting to upload on comp..

Time to get back to work!

I m sick again.. My immune system has been really bad.. The weather these days is crazy too.. yesterday was actually abt 33 degrees and it was shockingly HOT that I had to go out in shorts and I still sweat, this is how bad it is N today its super windy. My head is still turning now considering braving the tornado just now.. Almost got myself blown away. It isnt a joke! Its true! I even saw a big size man hiding behind the tree to avoid the wind. Can U believe it?

--

The last few days I have been staying up till late. Starting to do some revision. I hate to panic at the last minute so got to start now. However there is this sense of insecurity in me which I know is actually present in everyone else. Its the exam fear factor haiz.. There is just too much to cover just praying hard that I can retain all in my head and complete everything in time.

Now I really need to focus. Its just slightly less than 2 months then I will be home. I yearn for this time of rest after being here for so long. My heart is looking forward to the mission trip and everything else but there is exams just before that. I want to try my best. No No.. Not want but I will and I have to.. But now I have got to prepare my study timetable n fit everything in first..

--

I did some christmas shopping for the Christmas Operation Child yesterday. Bought some nice stuff for my little gal. The girly stuff that I liked as a child.. stuff like a little diary ( its pink and with a little lock ), markers, korean candy ( very colourful and tempting), and some daily necessities.

Just want to give to the little one just a little of what God has blessed me with! Hopefully it will bring a smile on her face and the understanding of the Father's love.

Sorry guys, there wont be much updates from now on..till end of my exams that is till 13th Nov.. I have too much stuff to focus on.. Sorry.. Probably just something short every now and then..

Yesterday was a self declared public holiday. I gave myself the excuse that due to my jabs which gave me some discomfort. But I was uncomfortable and my mind couldnt concentrate due to the pain and stiffness. I rested but I have some aches still but not serious so no worries at all. And this morning I feel so hot as in like warm till now. I dun think I am sick. Just that my temperature is really odd. Everyone is wearing jackets n there I am in short sleeve and I still feel warm. Thats weird!Worse still, people around me say that they are cold. Then I was like.. err.. but I feel hot!

I was supposed to go for more jabs today but I didnt in the end cos I felt that my body couldnt take it. But I dun think I can drag any longer. Will try to get it quick though... probably next week.. I am scared of jabs..

Thursday, September 28, 2006

Today was an interesting day for me. I had a medical appointment. I am not sick. Just needed to take some jabs prior to the mission trip. Feeling abit dizzy now. Had a blood test today to test for mumps. measles and rubella. I have taken the jabs when I was a baby but the doctor insisted on checking if I still had immunity to it. After blood test, she decided on her OWN to proceed to give me a few jabs for Diphtheria, Tetanus and Typhoid. After the jabs, she told me I will experience pain on the jab spots tmr. She should have told me before that. Argh! Nevermind. Just that now I can feel some pain and stiffness.

Tmr there is round 2! Got to make a trip to the Chest Clinic along North Terrace for a jab of BCG! I wasnt jabbed at sch at 12 cos my immune system was good then but now need to take some precautions to minimise risk! And round 3 next thursday to review the blood test results to see if I need more jabs!

The doctor was quite funny. Female doctor from Uni. Before she took blood from me, the following conversation took place.

Doc: Will u faint at the sight of blood?
Pris: err .. No!
Doc: Good, I wont have time to help if u do ( There is a long queue outside so imagine how fast she finish all her jabs! )

Yeah thats the highlight of the day!

--

Reached home to see one msn message from Yoshi!

It says " Exam timetable is out! "

So obviously I checked ..

Immunology -- 6th Nov
Genetics -- 8th Nov
Chemistry -- 13th Nov

Then I will be done for this year... time to study..

William and I spoke yesterday. He shared with me some stuff. He mentioned that many times we as humans always run to something physical first. And God becomes second choice and he himself had such times. I guess we r weak. We need someone physically present. But today, without thinking I chose to run to God first. Isnt it amazing? God knows my thoughts and my words even before they come to my mind or speak them. Something clouded my thoughts this morning but its over now.

During prayer meet yesterday, I had a good time sharing with addielle. A dear sister whom I respect and learn from. Just caught up with her on the daily things. I shared with her much that is on my heart and she prayed with me and encouraged me. Such a sister is precious in my sight and annointed by God. Her grace, her love is beyond description.

I saw the sms from Laza this morning when I woke up. I am encouraged by him. It is so timely. I see God's hand and his favour on us. He alone can make all things possible and everything beautiful.

" I am praying for you and ur team Priscilla. Be courageous and fight the good fight! May God lead, empower and protect you!"

My mission comm is having meeting today from afternoon till night. I am blessed to be amongst people passionate about God. Do pray for them!

Deuteronomy 31:6

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

My laptop is finally back with me last night. Surviving without it is really hard. That means no internet, cant do assignment, cant check emails basically cannot do anything, kinda unsettled. Everything seems hanging in the air. But praise God, Danny has managed to fix it. Thanks a million man! I am relieved. Really I am with thanksgiving in my heart and glory all unto God. I had a busy week. I came back from Sydney on Wednesday and schedule has been hectic since then. No.. I should say.. it has been hectic all these while. The Sydney trip is fruitful. I learnt a lot and seeing them so enthusiastic labouring for the Lord really gets me onboard with them. Aaron passed me some cds on chinese sermons. Got to listen to them soon. My chinese standard has been degrading since 2 years ago and now I have to figure that out again! But its alright I guess cos Desiree is around haha.. our chinese teacher and fellow warrior! There is much to learn about the Thai language as well along with all my other portfolios. But I am enjoying every minute of this. Its so exciting!!!!

I went for picnic with my coursemates on thursday. It was a sunny day for a picnic. Perfect weather at Botanic gardens. We hardly have the opportunity to hang out as a whole group together cos our schedules are too tight. Now is our mid term break. There is a little time for enjoyment but not much still. Exams are coming in 6 weeks time. Its time to get myself prepared again. I dun wan all that stress when its drawing too near. But let me finished my 2 assignments first then I will start.

I met up with Tracy and her brother on thursday too. Had a late lunch with them. They were here to visit adelaide and Me but seriously I wanted to bring them sightseeing but I couldnt due to other committments and I was dead tired since I came back and I just handed up an assignment that day and another 2 looming the skies next week. Its really time to get started before panic kicks in again..haha..

I really got to have breakfast n start cracking on work..

* My hp has some problem ( Both my Three phone and the prepaid.. the Three phone I dunno whats wrong..just cannot switch on at all and the prepaid one obviously has no credit.. uncontactable for now.. sorry)

I have been meditating on this song since thursday night.. singing it in the airport.. on the plane.. when I am not with anyone.. at home.. during shopping.. God's presence is simply all around me.. He is with me everywhere I go.. People gave me strange looks but I wasnt concerned at all.. God is pleased thats what matters..

This song comprises of God's promises to me and my response to Him.. I just love the lyrics..

Cover Me

Cover me, Lord my God,
And lead me into your presence,
My soul relieved, Trials may come,
And darkness upon me, But still
Your hand it guides me

My saving grace, My one embrace,
My first true love, I will exalt thee

I love You, Jesus I thank You,
For your hand that covers me

I will worship You, I will worship You
I will worship You My blessed saviour.

I reflected on my priorities.

There is a neccesity to make some changes.

So now it would be :

1. God
2. Studies
3. Family and Self ( Including health )
4. Mission Trip N Ministry ( Includes friends )
Yesterday I visited St Barnabas Church. The church service is conducted in a different way cos its of a different domination but that doesnt matter at all. I enjoyed with service without the slightest doubt. There was sharing by Liz Burns who has come back from a recent mission trip. God's timing is forever perfect. Her experience is valuable n I learnt much from her sharing. I saw the hunger of the people. The joy on their faces when they recieved their first bible. I saw how Liz broke the barriers and God's work in her and through her. Its great. After service I caught up with many Sydney OCFers, spent quality time together. Bonded over lunch and fellowship at Clarence's place. His place is really beautiful.. a condominium facing the sea. The scenery is beyond description. Very much the whole day was spent at their place ( play Risk, cards, cook dinner n shopping too cos there is factory outlets beside their place n the things r so cheap..serious.. )cos he is leaving with his wife to America on work purposes soon.

Saturday I met up with Daniel as well.. After a few months.. We went to fish market n tucked ourselves in OYSTERS, SASHIMI and FISH PLATTER.. so yummy..
I was mad this morning.. I got to know something which I was excluded cos I am in Sydney.. Its a joke.. really it is.. I guess.. being away = being forgotten. Reality it is.. I shall not bother myself with that.. My heart is set on the mission trip and I know it involves a lot of sacrifises .. it may seem like minor sacrifises at one look.. but on further look.. I know its not something minor.. Actually I wan very much to go for convention this year but I cant.. its a struggle within me which noone can see but God alone.. I have chosen to set that aside.. this is just one of the many.. n more are on my way..

I met up with my comm over the past weekend.. Vivian and Aaron its my first time meeting them but they are really warm and loving people who put me at ease.. We are like family..discussing..praying..laughing together.. Now is still our beginning stage of planning but all of us are enthusiastic abt it.. its the fire within us.. we have distributed our portfolios..

Many of us are taking more than 1 portfolio. For myself, I will be taking 3 portfolios. One of them in charge by me and the other 2 larger portfolios shared. Its good to share portfolio. Good to have someone to discuss with. I will be doing the prayer points from now till the end of the trip on a weekly basis and sending them to my comm for prayer. The other 2 portfolios are ( reporter/photographer) by Leanne n myself and also teaching by Vivian and me. I will be preparing a lot of this trip from this day forward so please pray for us if u can. It means I have to forgo some stuff even though I really want to be part of. I have to ignore whatever comments people pass on me ( otherwise life is going to get hard if I listen to everyone ). Following Christ is never easy.. Denying myself each day. .

Matthew 16:24

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

There was much sharing during our meeting.. sharing our expectations, hopes n reasons why we want to be part of this team. I am inspired by them, really I am. I see disciples of Christ and the hope of bringing the Gospel to those who have not heard.

Saturday, September 16, 2006

I landed in Sydney yesterday morning. The feeling is like coming home. I was very comfortable during my last stay. I feel so much at home with the OCFers here. Meeting them once again has brought back all these memories. Though this time my stay is short but I know it will be fruitful. Yesterday cos most of them r busy with stuff ( they are not having holidays yet.. I understand but they are around for me when I needed help which already warms my heart.. I am not expecting more.. ). I bumped around city area, paddy's, pitt street n was suprisingly not lost..haha.. in a way its an achievement cos I am ALWAYS lost.. well..its sad but thats the truth..I am bad at directions.. then after that dropped by sam's office before we went for dinner with Linus at Super Bowl. Its familiar place, familiar people, familiar food. I had a great meal. So full until the 3 of us had to move so slowly after we got out from the restaurant.. but we still went for dessert at passionflower ( Thanks Linus ).. the dessert there is beyond description..how I wish they can open a branch in adelaide.. it is that good..

Had a long chat with Sam when we came home.. Havent seen her for 2 months.. I have so much to tell her.. dunno y.. maybe cos we just connect well with each other..

In an hour's time I will be meeting Daniel.. It will be quality time.. It is gonna be a busy day.. Finally meeting my comm tonight.. till late..
I am at Sam's place now. Both Jiamin and her have gone for AGM. The quietness of this house and the album being played, the lyrics, God's Spirit filled my heart. God is in this place. Its something so joyous that words can never express it. This joy is meant to be shared n not just keep within me. The thought that God placed in my heart since thursday was once again refreshed by him on this morning. He has been repeatedly telling me the same thing over the last 2 days n now I choose to do wat he is telling me. Thursday I went to Edge Conference with my connect group. That day, God spoke to me particularly on 2 people. Both of them whom God wants me to reach out too. One of them is close to me but the other one is not. But it doesnt matter at all. Something is forming in my mind. Something I know which will come to pass soon because God's hand is in it.

Sunday, September 10, 2006

Yesterday at G's place, we had a discussion of time management..Just a few of us... then Deb asked this question that struck me..

What r ur priorities? If I were to ask u to list ur priorities.. How would u list them? What comes as most important and so on..

I listened to all of them as they shared .. great insight gained..

So I just want to know how does everyone prioritize.. What is the postion of God, family, studies, ministry, self, friends and recreation in ur life?

Saturday, September 09, 2006

Just Want to share something about Time Management which I have learnt a while ago..

"Time management is really life management, personal management. It is really taking control over the sequence of events. Time management is control over what you do next. And you are always free to choose the task that you will do next. Your ability to choose betweeen the important and unimportant is the key determinant of your success in life and work."

Dr Joseph Mercola
Author of the Total Health Program

General Tips for using time effectively:

* Set Priorities
* Be Flexible
* Keep projects on the move
* Alternate activities
* Do all things actively
* Review and acknowledge progress
* Spread the load
* Seek help
* Beware of time bandits

I am still learning.. hope it helps u guys.. There are some more stuff.. for those interested..please approach me personally.. too much to write here..haha..
At this time next week, I will be in Sydney.. I am excited to visit the OCFers there again.. After 2 months.. I miss them.. seriously.. I enjoyed my last trip there, the fellowship I treasure.. this time round..I will only be there for 5 days and all days are almost booked out.. Going to meet Daniel also.. Havent seen him for a while.. finally meeting him again.. This time found I will be staying at Samantha's place. Thanks alot dear for accomodating me.. The main reason for this trip is to meet up with my mission comm.. Please keep us in prayer and also now for some reason.. I am having sore throat also.. * cough..cough..cough * Hopefully I can recover before I go Sydney.. there is so much to be accomplished there.. My heart is all jumping for all that God is doing through us.. This year I m missing AU AGM as well as Kairos.. My disappointment but at this point of my life I choose to put the upcoming mission trip of highest importance.. For those who will be around in adelaide.. just want to encourage u guys to go for kairos.. Ur life will never be the same.. I was there last year.. In that place where I saw people crying out for God.. I can still remember many things that happened there.. Its God's appointed time.. So please please go for it..

One particular thing I remember last kairos was the final part where we went into a hall in aacc church.. I see remember Calvin was the one initiating it but God's spirit was so strongly felt in that place.. a few leaders with their candles lit.. they went around lighting each of our candles.. and the flame was passed along until all our candles were lit.. this action symbolises that we r flaming the love of God from generation to generation.. to pass on our knowledge n experience to the younger generation.. in that place many of us cried to God.. we just hugged each other n spoke words of encouragement.. I can still remember the people whom I hugged but I wont mention here.. It is just still so vivid in my mind as though it happened yesterday.. but no.. that was last year.. So my encouragement to all .. Go for it.. Run after Christ..

Take one step forward and allow God to do the rest.. U will be amazed..
Pick it Up

I was blind, now I see
Love has got a hold of me
Now I sing' cause I am free

So I'm laying down my life
and I'm taking up my cross

I'm taking up my cross
Laying down my life
All for the Glory of Your Name

I' m living my whole life
All for You Jesus
Taking up my cross everyday
Pick it up

I was lost, now I'm found
Put my feet on solid ground
Now I sing' cause I am free

I choose to stand for my generation
I choose to stand for my generation

I'm taking up my cross
I'm taking up my cross

Oh ya.. I forgot to share something abt my practical today.. I ACTUALLY DISSECTED A MOUSE!!! I could see all the internal organs like spleen, lungs, heart, liver, lymph nodes and so on.. Its so sadistic.. argh.. But thats my practical la.. cant help it.. Will upload the pictures soon.. Pictures speak a thousand words..
Guess wat!!! My assignments for this week are all completed.. to some of u ..it may not be anything much but to me its something.. I call that a miracle.. cos this week was my most busy week at Uni.. Most of my weeks have at least 6 assignments.. but this week was 8 assignments and with quiz.. so much to memorise..Praise God its all over and all went well.. my quiz inclusive though there were some parts of it, I kind of try to bluff through ..haha.. but on the whole it was good.. I was feeling stressful very much the whole of this week cos there was too much to be done n I didnt have enough time. I hardly have much sleep but I was still happy because I know God will bring me through it as he always does. One thing that amazes me is that though being so busy, the time I have for God each day remains good quality ( God always reminds me to spend time with him )..Thats the only time of the day I spend in quietness n be still before HIM.. He never fails to remind me of his greatness everyday.. Each new day he renews me and opens my eyes to the great things he has for me.. I love to dwell in his presence forever...

In the past ( a long time ago I mean ), I have always thought that when I am busy, I would probably forget about God.. But no I did not.. I remembered HIM all the more ( He consistently reminded me of his presence in my life, all blessings he brought into my life and the circumstances and situations he brought me through) and I drew my strength from HIM.. He has become so evident in my life that he is part of everything I do.. I am glad he has brought me this far.. cos I know its just impossible to do it using my own strength.. I am just so joyful now..

This weekend is gonna be exciting for me.. Going to do some shopping ( Havent been shopping for a long time.. u know why..cos everytime my lesson ends.. the shops also close.. argh..in a way save money but then..).. Also going to adelaide show with my dearest coursemates on sat ( Heard there were really cheap goodies bags n the fruit wine and cheese is awesome.. so must go..anyway only once a year ).. then having time management discussion.. followed by dinner with connect group.. I miss them..miss the fellowship..

But I will still make time to study like I always do.. haha.. Next week isnt so busy.. would have time for some revision..

At this moment, I should be studying furiously for my Immunology Quiz tmr. But my brain is so saturated with all the B cells, T cells and lymphoid tissues.. haha.. So just take a break first.. no point going insane over a quiz..haha..keep cool..

Yesterday some of us went for Tina's Baptism over at Paradise Church. Its my second time to that church. I went once last year when they had a concert. Havent been back there since. Its too far la.. Tina was in the same bible study group as me last year when I was co-leading with Kah wai.. I have seen her grown so much.. not only in her knowledge of the Word but also deepen her relationship and love for our Father.. I just feel so encouraged everytime I see her. I m blessed to be able to witness her baptism, her proclaimation of her love for our Father. Just feel so happy for her .. I believe there would be much more installed for her.

Just want to thank God for Tina's step of obedience.

Yesterday's NPMM is awesome. Its a great time of prayer and my spirit is united with my Jesus and my brothers and sisters in Christ. Truely, I was absorbed in that atmosphere, I can feel the presence of God even right now. I can feel God's power. The joy and peace he brought me is unmeasurable and intense. He alone brings satisfaction and salvation. Yesterday during Aunty Merrilyn's sharing, my mind was on the lost souls everyday wondering pass us. They are the lost without the salvation and peace that I have within me, my heart was wrenched with pity and sorrow. What good is it to achieve everything yet forfeit their soul. Pointless absolutely pointless. My heart goes out to the people who are looking for worldly desires because deep down in my heart. I know that their heart is empty. Their soul is void. This emptyness can only be filled by Jesus no matter how much you try to cheat yourself. I long to be able to do sth for them.

For the first prayer, I prayed with Moses, Samuel and Aunty Merrilyn. A spirit guided prayer for Geelong. After the prayer I told Aunty Merrilyn about the mission trip which I am about to go for. I could see Jesus in her eyes. The eyes of joy and blessing. She has been my inspiration, she has flamed my passion to go forward for missions. A living example who deserves my respect. A lady flowing with the love of Christ. A true example whom I look to. I have had missions on my mind since I was 16 years old and the passion was flamed last year and once again this year. Clearly, I know that this is what God wants me to do. Its not a rash decision, its something my soul longs for and its something I really want to do. Frankly speaking, I have not desired anything as much before. But this time, my heart is determined, my heart is convicted by the Holy spirit. After the decision was made, the peace of God like a dove rested on me.

Dennis, Aaron and myself prayed for some countries and missionary as well. I chose to pray for Thailand. As I was praying for Thailand, my spirit was touched by God once again, as I pray I just cried. Tears flowed n I just wanted to reach out to them, to bring the Gospel to them. I never knew I could do outreach but now I know I am empowered by the Holy Spirit to do all that God commanded.

We prayed for the OCF centres, the countries and the missionaries whom we support and my leader Siew Wai prayed over me as well. With Aunty Merrilyn wrapping her arms around my waist, I was overwhelmed by the touch of the Holy Spirit. Its His annointing, His annointing. Nothing can bring such conviction over me except Him.

It was just awesome. A lot of things happened yesterday which cannot be described in words.. Beyond comprehesion, beyond description ...

Matthew 28:18-20 (New International Version)

18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

l had a great day except for some minor hiccups.. I went to see an advisor today to learn more about time management. All along I thought I managed my time well but today I realised that I didnt.. or perhaps I should say, some of my time is not effectively spent.. I m glad I went to find out for myself.. not just for myself.. but its something that I can share with others for everyone's benefit.. it was good..

After that session, I went off to OCF, prayed with Melissa...shared some stuff with her, really glad to know her better today.. she encouraged me..really.. through sharing and how God is working in her life.. Our God is an amazing God...I shared some stuff with a few people today.. what God is doing.. It was more of heart to heart talk to a few people.. I wont mention names here.. its time well spent..

I liked the worship and sharing today.. The worship part I was so absorbed in the songs that I was oblivious to everything.. just immersed in the words..the lyrics.. and the sharing.. its good.. inspiring..Wei Jian brought up stuff that I didnt focus on .. Its God's annointing on him.. Glory to God...

I am home now.. excited for NPMM tmr when we can pray together as a whole for the different OCF centres around Australia as well as the missionaries we support..

And tmr is Jasmine's birthday, Happy Birthday Gal!!!

Cya tmr..haha.. NPMM..
Many many years ago, I read this poem in one of my devotional books which deeply touched my heart.. Just thought it would be good to share with all.. It has always encouraged me and lifted my spirit.. God brought this into my heart once again today.. I am not depressed, neither upset or stressed.. I just want to share what encouraged me then.. hopefully it encourages my dearest..

Never Alone

I've seen the lightning flashing,
And heard the thunder roll,
I've felt sin's breakers dashing,
Trying to conquer my soul;
I've heard the voice of Jesus,
Telling me still to fight on,
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone.

The world's fierce winds are blowing,
Temptations are sharp and keen;
I have a peace in knowing
My Saviour stands between;
He stands to shield me from danger,
When earthly friends are gone.
He promised never to leave me,
Never to leave me alone.

When in affliction's valley,
I'm treading the road of care,
My Saviour helps me to carry
My cross when heavy to bear,
My feet entangled with briars,
Ready to cast me down;
My Saviour whispered his promise,
Never to leave me alone.

Hebrews 13:5

"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

Ephesians 6

The Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

I was reading through 1 particular email over and over again last night. An email sent from Sydney with regards to the mission trip that I am going on. In the email, it addresses a lot of different portfolios waiting to be taken up. There was much more than I expected and we are so lack in manpower. I am not worried, just that as I pray for the portfolios, its my honour to have my brothers n sisters in Christ to pray alongside with me, to support what God is doing.

The portfolios are as follows:

1. *Admin/treasurer*
2. *Fund raiser*
3. *Logistics*
4. *Prayer IC*
5. *First Aid*
6. *Reporter/photographer*
7. *Worship leader*
8. *Devotional times*
9. *Skit/song/drama Director*
10. *Teachers*
11. *Secret encourager and encouragee *

Most of us will need to take on 2 portfolios. Frankly speaking, my heart is keen on taking on worship leader and devotional times but yet I know that both are tough. I have not decided on anything yet. And I have no intention to decide on my own. I need a spirit guided, spirit convicted decision. The decisions will be made on 16th Sept at our meeting. Now, this is one of the main things on my heart. Please pray for me as well as for the rest of the committee.

U may not know them in person, but they are your brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us go forward together. Please pray for Aaron, Leanne, Jing, Desiree, Devi, Vivian, Poh Bwee as well prepare ourselves for what is coming.

Matthew 9:37-38

37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

So please pray for him ( Michael ) as well.. Hope he recovers soon..

Muackz..Muackz..Muackz..
Its the beginning of a new week today. Usually I dun go Uni from Citi TownHouse so today somehow or rather I under estimated the time to get to Uni.. yesterday I had a late night.. doing my presentation slides and script till abt 2.30am in the morning.. However I was not tired at all.. too hyperactive!!! Then Sally popped up on msn too.. so had a chat with her as well..haha.. Yesterday's party was good. One of the most memorable gatherings. Everyone was sporty, the game was good.. food great.. Nice Fellowship.. Havent had so much laughter in a while already.. pretty caught up with work and busyness..

I am physically much better now.. My back no longer hurt as much as before.. thanks to the little bright pink tablets siew wai gave me on sunday morning.. Cant remember what they were.. but they helped to ease the pain a lot.. thank you so much.. N for all those who prayed for me n comforted me.. thanks too.. Everything is good now.. N I treasure it all..

Also for my dearest coursemates.. Feli, Dorothy, Amanda.. love u all..
Sydney OCFers .. Linus, Tracy, Sam.. Thanks for listening to my ramblings over the last few days.. And uplifted me in prayer..
Connect group -- Deb, Liwen, Samuel.. muackz..
OCF AU -- Too many to mention but I remember each of u guys..

But above all, I just want to lift my praises to God who is the great healer and him who brought the forgiveness.. I was touched during Sunday worship and sermon.. especially during the last song about God as the healer and the one who brings forgiveness.. N the sermon pierced deep in my heart.. its just so timely and awesome.. all the knots are released n my spirit set free from the past hurts..

Psalm 30:1-3

1 I will exalt you, O LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.

2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.

3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave ;
you spared me from going down into the pit.

I dunno what to say.. I m hurt.. really I m .. I m still trying to nurse the wounds in my heart n on my back.. I dun wan to seek attention yet at the same time I wish people would care.. I am a human being still.. fragile n weak.. Today in connect grp after some people left.. I just sit there by myself and keep quiet.. Not that I wan to keep quiet but my back was really hurting and I feel feverish all over.. I just didnt want to say or do anything.. I was uncomfortable n I was thinking through some issues.. After that someone actually told me that I look fierce that noone dared to come near me.. but what did I do? I just kept quiet thats all.. I need my moments of quietness.. I am an extrovert yes.. But I wan to be quiet at times..I was just feeling discomfort, hurt n I didnt know what to do with myself.. I didnt want to speak because with my mood, I may by accident hurt someone but yet I was wrong still.. On the way back, I spoke to the people in the car, I asked if I had in anyway offended them.. but no they were not.. its just one person feeling that .. it made me so negative..cos the person in some way assume that people are feeling the same way too.. like perhaps I am a wounded animal.. if they come closer I would probably explode.. But the fact is I was controlling a lot.. except towards the end when I really couldnt take it anymore.. Only God knows how exactly I am feeling.. I m hurt really I m.. its resolved now no doubt abt that but still I feel the pain and hurt.. Its hard to be happy and energetic when I am physically n emotionally weak n in need of support.. I am already trying my best.. so please dun expect a lot from me.. I am afterall a human.. I have my weakness..

I hope everyone understands.. I m really down.. I need ur support n prayer..If I have in any way offended anyone.. I am truely sorry..And I seek ur forgiveness..

One thing I am sure of.. I am trying my best to accomodate everyone.. at least I am trying.. I am not perfect.. so give me some space and allowance if I may ask..

Its is a bad day.. really bad.. feeling so pressurize n overwhelmed with some stuff.. stuff even if I share wont help either.. It just brings more judgement on me.. Not that I never tried..

This is my blog.. Its my space to blabber whats on my mind.. its my deep thoughts.. A lot of stuff cross my mind every day..

I went for my immuno tute today.. so lost in the discussion.. I didnt prepare much I admit.. Serious lack of time.. then suddenly in the middle of tute.. the fire alarm went off.. so we had to evacuate.. then for some reason I lost my tute grp after that.. dunno where they went.. in such a fix.. to top it up I fell down twice this week..once on sunday in front of my close friends ( but they didnt care.. not a joke ..its true ).. n just now a bad fall down the stairs in Uni..

I think its enough for today.. rushing for my prac now..
It was a bad day for me..
Feeling terrible..
Stressed N upset..
Swallowing more than I should..
Multi-tasking almost all the time..
Contemplating stuff..
Never to feel forced..
Sharing n seeking advice..
Time management..
Letting go whatever I can..
Wishing I can sleep less and do more...
Talk less, do more..
More time with God..
God is the ultimate solution..

Matthew 16:26

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

I am not only a feeler but I am also a thinker. I have my reasons for doing certain things and I have my reasons for letting other stuff pass. I consider a lot. Dun pass any judgements on me for u know the scriptures well..Do not compare me with others.. for such comments can be destructive and really discouraging at times.. These things can't affect me much anymore.. I can better control my emotions now.. Not I say but from Siew Wai today.. What she is said is true..

Matthew 7: 1-2

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Its a reminder not only for myself but for everyone else.

Dun ask me to give up the mission trip. I never will. Its my life and I choose to put Christ at the throne of my life. Respect my decision. It has been set since July and I will go all the way out for it. Even if u dun agree with it. U cannot and will not change my heart and my mind. I am looking forward to the mission talk this coming sat by Dr Calvin Mah as well as the mission trip planning coming up in my 2 week break. I m keen on my portfolio.. God is working through a weak vessel as me.. I will emerge Victorious through his power..

I welcome all constructive and genuine comments for improvement. N I m serious.. only with contructive comments from people who love me, I can improve and I want to improve.. not for myself but for the body of Christ..

My Princess...
You'Re Never Alone

You never need to hold on to anyone out of fear of being alone, My precious princess. I am with you wherever you are. I am a friend who walks in when the world walks out. I created you to have strong relationships, My Love, and I see your desire to be close to someone. If you seek me first and come to Me with your wants and needs, I will choose your friends for you. I will also bless those friendships abundantly. Don't settle for less than My best just to fill your schedule with people to see and places to go. I want to reach you with the reality of My presence in you first, then you will be ready for real relationships that are orchestrated by Me.

Love,
Your King and your Best Friend

I was hurt yesterday.. Physically not much.. But emotionally I was.. some of u reasoned things out with me.. thank you so much.. all your time n effort on me.. I know u guys really care.. I wont mention here what happened.. if anyone is genuinely concerned.. I may share with you..
I committed all to God last night.. Prayed for a long while.. told him entirely how I felt .. seeking Him with my whole heart.. After prayer, I looked into my devotion book.. I saw the above letter.. I knew its God speaking to me directly..

He said I never need to hold on to anyone because he is there for me always.
He said he is a friend who will be with me under all circumstances.
He said he sees my desires. He calls me by name to come to him with all my wants N needs.
He said he will provide for me the relationships with him as the centre.

My spirit is restored and lifted by God alone..

" And be sure of this:
I am with you always,
Even to the end of the Age."

Matthew 28:20

For those who are wondering when the due date for donations is .. it is gonna be on 30th Sept.. I have received a few replies donating to that cause.. Thank You so much.. Lets get the ball rolling..
Hey guys.. there is something I want to bring to ur attention.. Its regarding the World vision Australia 40 hours famine.. I just knew about it yesterday after my friend ask me to support her by donating to a good cause.. Basically the famine started last night from 8pm till Sunday 12pm.. This is your chance to give back to kids just like you in East Timor and Southern Africa. Every $40 you raise helps feed and care for 8 kids for one whole month! So how many kids can you help? I think the money raised will be of good cause.. so I would like to urge everyone to give every little u can .. every little counts..

Its sad and heart wrenching to see the poor kids suffering at Third world countries while we are having abundance here and we are just so blessed by God.. Funds raised in Famine 2006 will help poor families in East Timor, as well as in Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia, where many kids are so poor they eat only a few mouthfuls of food everyday..

Therefore I will like to urge u guys to support these people in a little way which we know we all can.. I have done my part what about u? Its very simple.. Just a little of ur pocket money can bring a smile to the little children ..

If u would like to donate, please inform me .. so that I can let my friend know.. she is collecting the donations.. A receipt will be issued.. Remember that the money will be used to bless others.. How can we show that we love others if we have no action...

1 John 3: 16-18

16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

For more information, please check out at http://www.worldvision.com.au/40hourfamine/

Your donations will be greatly appreciated..

Thank You..

What is happening to me?

I am eating strange meals and at super odd hours ( no time to cook .. I want to cook but no time ). I just eat watever I can find..

I am sleeping and waking up at odd hours. Serious lack of sleep .. who wants to close up n look at my dark eye circles.. u r very welcome..

I have to bring my organiser wherever I go cos I have trouble remembering stuff .. all my appointments n assignments.. They take up too much brain space .. I rather write them down then remember them..

I have adapted to reading in the bus to save time...

All things I can forget N neglect except God.. I always have time for Him.. He is always first in my mind.. Thank God.. He always reminds me to look to him.. Thank You Father..

He makes me smile..
The past few weeks have been so busy.. The assignments r endless.. I m tired.. My friend is coming next week but frankly speaking I really have no time for her.. Tuesdays r my worse days.. Did my chem prac today.. Thank God I had a really smart partner.. an aussie guy.. we really worked well together.. n a fantastic demostrator as well.. seriously without them things could have been worse..God has blessed me.. I went for prayer meet today in the mist of my prac.. I had a short break in between for 30 mins.. so I thought it would be good if I joined them for prayer.. Was praying with Jan N Handy.. sharing some prayer points with them.. Handy said something which was very encouraging for me.. he said having to teach bs in another language which is foreign to u is actually a good thing.. For God is preparing me to go out for him in December this year.. He said.. do u think u will be able to bring forth God's word in Thailand in the language the u r comfortable in? u may not.. he gave me a different perspective which I did not think of myself.. I am glad I spoke to him..

Tina passed me a book yesterday on missions. It is entitled "His Last Command, Our First Priority" by Jack Hanes.. I read this book during my bus journey today. Its an inspiring book I would say.. I wouldnt update much abt it today cos I have only read a chapter of the book.. will update more soon..

Just want to leave this verse for all:

Mark 16:15

" Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere."

Saturday, August 12, 2006

I just came back from William's farewell party.. Mixed emotions.. I cried just now.. when william was telling me something personal.. it was shared in a big group but it was to each individual.. What he said brought me back to the times we enjoyed last year.. the time when we met the other OCFers in Singapore.. the times spent with Richard and the oldies.. the great times we had will always be remembered.. also the christmas eve spent with his sister n him.. I still remember where we went.. he came with his family to singapore just a few days before christmas and he rang me..I met up with his sister and him on that special christmas eve and we had quality time together.. brought them around.. its not the places but the time in fellowship that I remember n I treasure.. now thinking back.. I am glad that I did have time for William.. so glad that the time is well spent ..so glad for such a brother to come into my life.. he will always be remembered.. in my heart.. Just like Richard n chok has a special position in my heart.. So will William have his position.. Though I never say.. but Richard and chok comes to my mind at times.. My dear brothers that I will always miss..

The box of little notes n the photos have all the love we have for u.. Treasure it.. We love u...
Yesterday was a wonderful day.. I didnt do a lot but I had great fellowship... In the morning time I was at Uni, was with Yingying n Leny together trying to crack out our Chemistry Summative Tute.. It was due at 12 noon so we went a couple of hours earlier to try to discuss the stuff.. I dun like doing the 2 and 3 dimentional stuff.. It hard for me cos I can't visualise.. Gals are usually bad at such stuff.. Not making excuses for myself ok? I m trying very hard already.. haiz.. nvm.. anyway the whole sem chemistry is going to be on 3 D stuff.. Our lecturer was saying he will get us the molecular modelling kit but when is that happening.. hurry up la.. its in bad enough condition already.... Thank God my other 2 subjects Immunology and Genetics are doing fine.. understand almost everything so far..

I was at the Singapore Association stall the last few days but I wasnt doing anything much.. I wasnt there for long also.. Had other things to do.. But I spent some time chatting with Bridgette and Phyllicia.. Trying to be of some help.. But my heart wasnt into it.. probably cos I have so many other things in my mind.. things that I place of higher priority.. ya.. My studies and OCF obviously take a higher priority rite.. ahaha.. everyone must agree ok..

The last few days I did pretty much a lot of studies.. did my readings.. my tutes.. I like immuno tutes the best.. the sessions r always interesting and interactive.. everyone is so enthusiastic in contributing.. me also of course..I was reading some books also.. yeah..The time was well spent..

On thursday night when I was doing my readings.. Melissa rang me.. She wrote a song for william and asked if I had the time to practice.. so yesterday in OCF, we sang the song to william, looking at him intently.. He was moved, I can see that, straining his ears to catch the words.. I knew he wanted to keep the lyrics of the song.. so I passed him my copy.. I know he will treasure it..

People come and people go
Some of whom I now dont know
You came along became a friend
Never knew the impact you'll have on me
Somehow I wasn't the only one
You left your footprints on many more..

Thank You for walking beside us
Together through the joy and the pain
You're a gift, you will be missed
All your words will be treasured
All you've done, we'll remember
We wanna say thank you

This is the song specially delicated to William.. Tonight is the night delicated to William as well.. His last night in Adelaide.. Less than 2 days, he will be going home.. Yesterday he took some photos with us.. I had an individual photo with him as well.. a photo that both of us always wanted.. n I will always cherish the memories I have with this brother who has impacted my life.. I dun want to cry tonight but yet I know I will..I shall stop decieving myself..

William was my pianist during my worship session yesterday.. I had a great team, the worship flowed though we didnt have a good start.. so I started it again.. After the session, choy kor told me that there is improvement from the last time I led.. I was happy not because I led well but because worship is an important part prior to the things that come after. We got to set out hearts rite before God before anything can continue. God desires our worship and we are created to worship him..

I have so much to update today.. haha.. still want to talk abt my BS group.. I had 3 new faces in my group.. all young guys from HK.. doing foundation and high school.. they are like 17 years old.. can u believe it? so young.. but they are yearning for the word of God.. Thirsty to be filled.. Choy kor was in my group.. haha.. I dragged him in by force.. haha.. no la.. not force.. its charm..haha.. sounds nicer..Ok let me rephrase it.. it is he joined my group willingly k.. good.. the session was conducted in both Cantonese and English. The main part in English by me and any further questions in Cantonese by Choy kor and keith.. I understand Canto but I cannot speak it.. n now have having my new members.. I really want to learn canto.. I want to be able to communicate with them in the language that they r comforable in.. Just want to thank God for their open hearts, open sharing.. though short but its good.. especially for Leo and Paul. They are cousins but first time in OCF.. they just came to adelaide.. Now staying at the same homestay as Anderson.. Initially both Leo and Paul are shy but they are not anymore.. I m just glad.. very happy.. Next week , we will be going out for street E on thursday (thats confirmed.. from 1pm to 2pm).. and probably I will go on Monday and Wednesday as well.. Not sure of my schedule yet..

I got to get some work done now.. Just wanted to encourage all who are believers to be ambassadors of Christ. We are to make disciples of Christ.

Matthew 28

18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

My friend is flying from Sydney to see me soon.. I am excited about it.. Gonna happen in week 5 n now is the middle of week 3.. However, week 5, 6, 7 r going to be my most busy weeks before the term break.. I was just scheduling everything in my organiser yesterday while waiting to go for Justin's B day party at Pancake House.. Well guys.. U wont want to imagine the shock I gave myself.. big time shock.... There is actually more assignments, more presentations n more reading this sem.. more contact hours as well..Been working hard from week 1 but still a bit behind in schedule.... Thank God, I have really good tutors this semester.. Jamie B for Immunology.. He is really good man.. can get us to participate n at the same time I dun feel stressed.. Last sem, I had Chris Wong for microbio n stressed big time.. Thank God I hardly see him this time.. except in pracs which is inevitable.. Dan is my tutor is genetics.. he is great too, always managed to explain the concepts clearly though his tutes stretch a bit long.. today was almost 2 hrs of genetics tute.. But it was alright.. managed to clear my doubts.. This sem I m pretty lost in Chemistry.. we r doing the 3 dimentional thing which is so foreign.. like molecular modelling stuff.. couldnt figure out the stuff.. Need to get that cracked out soon.. but I m just one of the many who is having this problem..

Father, U alone knows what I m going through.. I am relying on U to supply all my needs..

Yesterday was Justin's b day.. We had such great fun n fellowship.. For those who didnt come .. hey u guys missed out..especially on the sabo part.. I think its the worse sabo ever.. But Justin was pretty game for it.. so it was alright.. I met Ian today.. he still complaining that he stinks.. cos apparently,he was a co-victim last night.. haha.. But I guess it is a memorable birthday for Justin.. Its the love of our family..

This weekend is going to be quite emotional for many of us..

William is leaving for good soon.. I just know abt it today just before I went for evening service.. Felt a bit down after I knew that.. A lot of memories came back to me..Memories from last year all the way to this year..

I remembered the times where we studied for exams together, struggled together, the times where we confided in each other.. the things that he taught me through his experiences, the word of God he taught me, the skills in worship leading..the encouragement he gave me as a great brother in Christ.. a lot of things..

He is someone I respect for his great love for God.. He is someone I will miss.. He has someone who has guided me.. But all these memories remain precious to me..

But I know God will bring him to a place where he can use him.. I am glad that he has chosen to obey God. To go down this path is never easy..

William spoke to me just now.. He was holding back his tears.. I will miss him for sure.. Today when he told me he is leaving.. it came as a big shock to me.. I didnt expect it to come so soon.. I was in a daze during worship this evening.. everything rushed back to me.. Richard as well.. But I was focused during sermon... There are some people that he wanted to meet on sat night.. I just sent out an email to inform them.. Really hope they can come.. I know its important to him.. Just want to do watever I can for him.. Just feel sad now.. though I know God has his best interest at heart..

My Princess.. I will redeem the time for u..

I know that sometimes you look back on your life with anguish and regret -- so much time wasted on things that did not matter. But take heart, My Love. I am your redeemer, and today is a new day. So start now by seeking My plans, which are to give you hope and a future. Just as I used hardship in Joseph's life to lead him to a position of leadership, influence, and blessing, I've also called you. I will use your past experiences to teach you and not torment you. Remember, My Princess, I will always turn into good what others meant for harm. I will redeem what was lost and place you on the narrow road that leads to an everlasting life.

Love,
Your King and Your Redeemer

This letter comforted my heart so much this morning that I felt that I need to share it.. I should look ahead to what is before me.. Forget abt the past disappointments.. the past sorrows.. the past unhappiness..Think about the blessings that are in my life..

I have fond memories of sydney, of the place, of the people, of the camp...
I remember during my sydney trip this july, the Lord spoke deep into my life through 2 people. One of them I shared alot of things with. The other one gave me scriptures which I know is not by coincidence for some reason. The scripture is still dwelling in my heart now. Its from Jeremiah 1:

The Call of Jeremiah

4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

6 "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."

7 But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you
to do and say whatever I command you."

8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth.

10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."

The last 2 verses are strong words.. I dunno what life lies ahead for me.. But I know my future is secured in the hands of God..
I went for a mission talk this morning with Tina. I m glad that I did made it for the talk cause something happened last night within me that I was struggling with many things in my heart. Struggling to find my way through all the things that r coming now. In my decision to head for a mission trip.. I once had doubts abt myself. I feared of going to the trip with no preparation cos the training is in Sydney. The devil is trying to get me but the Lord comforted my soul this morning during my time of quietness and when I was doing meditation on this book called My Princess, Love letters from your King. I will share abt that a bit later. The mission talk this morning was by kenneth and Mark who are both missionaries to India. They shared their experiences and the struggles they faced. I learnt a lot. Though I cannot be there for training in Sydney, the Lord has opened up another way for me. Another avenue of training for me in sharing the experiences of other missionaries every thursday morning. Indeed God is wonderful and marvellous. He will prepare u for the things which is ahead of u.. Trust in Him!

Last Sunday, I spoke to Pastor Nick regarding the mission trip to Thailand.. He has given his blessings.. I am excited abt this trip.. trying to read up all I can to prepare myself.. I dunno wat to expect but I know God knows what is ahead of me.. Pls pray for me.. Its a big decision.. But I really want to do it.. it has been my desire since I was 16.. finally now.. I am heading towards my heart's desire.. When I was 16, when I had mission trips in my mind..But then I thought to myself.. dun be silly.. how can this ever happen.. I said to myself then.. U r so young n come on.. u know nothing.. But no matter how young we are, no matter how weak we are.. Our Almighty God will prepare u for his purpose..Trust in Him..

The following scriptures just surfaced in my mind and is making imprint on my heart. These scriptures I memorised them last year but they didnt come to my mind again until now..right now.. Its as if God is speaking..Its just timely encouragement for me to rely on HIM..

I Tim 4:12
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."

2 Corinthians 12:9-11
9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

My heart is just so stirred now..

U alone are God.. We declare the glory of ur name..
Reign in all the Earth..Jesus..

OCF is wonderful. Yesterday we commenced our first bible study session. This semester I am co-leading with Keith. Just want to thank God for giving us a wonderful group to nurture and grow together. We r just so blessed to be able to fellowship and mask in the presence of God. God has implanted in me this desire and I hold onto it tightly with all my strength and all my soul and with all my heart. Just want to acknowledge and encourage keith here.

Good job Keith! U have supported me as well as our group so well that I cannot feel that its our first time working together. I can see your total devotion. Thank you so much. I believe we can work well together. I seldom praise people. My praises are reserved for my first and everlasting love, God. I cannot describe the blessings God has poured our into our lifes.

Just want to leave something for meditation this weekend before I start cracking on Uni work.

Jeremiah 29:13

"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

This last weekend before Uni start is pretty fruitful. Yesterday, I went to Lynette's place with 3 guys ( dun ask me who.. I am not supposed to mention them here.. one of them said " dun mention my name if not I will sue u!!! ) Let me explain why they must remain anonymous.. Pretty much a lot of funny things happened that day.. so if mention they may be pai seh mah.. so must be kept confidential..haha.. The primary purpose of going to their place was to meet them cos they drive back from melbourne n its gonna be a short trip to adelaide mah.. so of course must meet up.. secondary purpose is to pick up watever we wanted from their place cos its simply too much for them to bring over.. but however the guys fulfilled the tertiary purpose which was doing hard labour.. but it was good.. I am glad I brought the guys.. Imagine if I bring gals then goodness.. I would be doing the hard work..err.. Thank God..All of us had fun.. let me tell u the funny part.. here goes.. well after doing hard labour obviously the guys would feel hungry.. but the 3 of them didnt tell anyone until I spotted them peeling and eating grapefruit at the kitchen.. The conversation went like this:

Scene 1:

Me: R u guys very hungry?
Guys: Obviously we are , otherwise we would not be eating the grapefruit
Me: But its acidic.. U will feel more hungry after that..
Guys: But no choice.. we r hungry
Me: ( laughing until I cannot stop )

Scene 2:

Lynette walks into the kitchen and saw the 3 of them in desperation.

Lynette: R u guys very hungry? I have got apples.
Guys: How many have u got?
Lynette: err ..sorry only 1
Guys: Takes the apple

Now 3 guys sharing 1 apple.. one of them takes 2 bites , pass it to the second guy.. he takes 2 bites too.. n the apple was passed around until there was no flesh left.. everything was to the core.. I only stood there.. look at them n laugh continously

Next Lynette passed them a curry puff and some other food stuff n the cycle repeats..

I had a great laugh man.. Never see guys so hungry in my entire life.. but they were cute..

That was the highlight of Sat.. But I think they did a good job though they were pretty funny.. If I need to move next time.. I would know who to find..They did everything willingly without complain. Great brothers in Christ! Good job guys!

Time flies. This is the last weekend of this holidays. Next sem is starting on Monday n now looking at my timetable is getting me a little scared. This sem 26 hrs a week. I hope it doesnt get too much. Time management is important. Last sem I didnt do a good job in that department n in the end my results was pretty crappy.. Nvm just learn my lesson so I can manage it at least better this sem. Yeah!

Resolution for sem 2 in no particular order:

1. Quality time with God ( Prayer N Devotion )
2. Preparation for Mission trip ( * Pris u better dun do last min ... I will kick u!!!)
3. Gym, hopefully 3 times a week
( * Pris look at how much weight u have gain during exams n the sydney trip.. )
4. Keep ur room clean n tidy ok.. Be presentable ( Thank You very much )
5. Control ur temper ( Remember the fruits of spirit? Dun let ppl complain abt u la.. aiyo.. )
6. Allow ample time to do ur assignments.. Dun rush..
7. Get along n accommodate everybody..

Ok.. thats all I can think of now.. Anyone who sees me not doing the above just knock my head..yeah!

I was in a state of confusion yesterday. I didnt know what to do with myself especially last night after I came home. I was really happy during our games n dinner. But at night, I felt so alone. I felt so afraid. I dunno what to do with myself. Something came over me. Someone told me something that I didnt know. Something that I had to come to terms with. I am glad I am told.. otherwise I would still be in a daze now. Thank you very much. U know who u r ..

In the afternoon, I was at keith's place with Mo, Leeping, Karen, Yoshi, Paul and some others playing Cranium and pictionary. I havent played board games for a long long time. Its great enjoyment n the house was filled with our laughter. We had fun laughing at each other. I saw the strengths n weakness of us.. It was good.. I had a better understanding of them through the games..it was a fruitful time..

I had dinner with Aruna, Feli, Ying Ying and Anisha after that. They r my best friends in Uni. A pity that Amanda n Kristen cannot join us. They are friends whom I can look to for help in many aspects. I m glad that they r in my life. I am glad that I can confide in them when I am down and I can share with them the joy and happiness in my life. I love them so much. More than I thought I did in the past. The memories u guys give me will forever remain within me. I like the flowers, the cushions, the candles, the shower items, n the birthday card u guys hand made for me. Thank you very much.. U guys hold an important position in my heart n I cherish it.. I will upload our photos on my blog soon.. Looking forward to see u guys in Uni soon..

* Feli dun forget to meet me at Medical School on Monday .. Hugz..

This holidays has been meaningful to me.. Just want to share the joy I have in me despite circumstances..

There are some things I realised:

* U can never really know how much u love God until u r put to the test.. u can say u love God..
very easy to say but is it really from ur heart.. when things r going fine who cannot say that?
But when ur world is crumbling n u can still love God with all ur heart.. U have become
stronger in faith n in love.. then people can see Christ through u.. u will not need to proclaim
that u love God.. But it will flow through u naturally.. N people will praise ur Father in heaven..

* My brothers n sisters in Christ love me so much.. not by words but by deeds and I wan to be
able to do the same for them..

* I am praying about going on a mission trip this december with OCF Sydney.. unsure abt
certain things n the direction that I will be heading.. I only hope n pray that I will be able to go
in the way which God planned for me.. so please pray for me.. I got to make the decision soon..
preferably by end July.. If I were to go.. I got to prepare.. I dunno if I can do it at
this point of my life though my heart yearns to do it.. pray for me..

* Living in this blessed land allows me to worship God freely.. Its so comfortable but I wan to
venture out to the people who need the Lord but I am still lacking in strength..

I wan to acknowledge the people who have impacted my life during my short stay in Sydney.

Linus -- u showed me the love of God through ur patience, time and care.
Leanne -- through ur life and worship
Brian -- through ur thirst for God's word
David -- through ur living testimonial
Roopesh -- through ur devotion and teachings, a living example of a man after God's own heart
Sam -- through ur concern and life.. u made me so comfortable
Shimei -- through ur life n joy
Jing -- through ur joy and happiness
John -- through ur life and happiness
Clarence -- through ur knowledge of the word
Tracy -- through ur deep sharing
James -- through ur life n love
Tricia -- ur happiness
Yau-- ur joy within u

u have made urselves real to me.. thank you so much.. its not the place I miss.. its the people .. really.. only the people..

I just came down from Blue Mountain this afternoon currently resting at Jing n Shimei's apartment.. I love their apartment n their company because its just so cosy and they are r unbelievably nice..Yeah.. this time round my trip to Sydney is really fruitful.. I met so many OCFers .. too many names to mention here but they gave me wonderful memories to bring home.. they brought me so much joy in my life...they lifted me when I was down.. We prayed together.. we did everything togethered.. we shared so much over that few days.. peace filled my heart so much and I am so blessed to be surrounded by them.. they are part of shaping n moulding my life.. I will miss them terribily when I return to adelaide.. This trip to blue mountain showed me the beauty of God's creation and the unity of our family.. though I didnt know them for long.. they gave me a surprise on my birthday.. my 4th celebration this year..Really thanks so much.. This camp fostered so many friendships which I know will last very long and I am constantly encouraged by them.. Tonight we are watching the worldcup finals together.. its gonna be a time of going crazy together.. then tmr I will be going shopping with some of them at Bondi Junction as well as Bondi beach.. Looking forward to that.. I will be going back to adelaide soon and life will really get busy again .. I am glad I came for the camp.. I am glad I met them.. they made everything worthwhile.. My time is well spent.. masking in the love of God and in the knowledge of his word..All in all .. All Praise and Glory to God..

Its my birthday today! Who still remembers?? I got an sms from Danny and Shelley already but are there anymore coming? Let me update u guys about my sydney trip. I got here on the 4th July 06 evening at 6pm and by the time I was driven to Footprints ( The place where I am staying, it was already 7.30pm ) But Footprints is actually not far away. The only reason why I was delayed was because we were waiting for the other passengers. Yeah! So got there, got my key then went to the room. It was a family room cos there was 5 of us sharing. It was pretty spacious but when I opened the door there was noone in there apparently my friends went out without me. Actually I expected it but somehow it still appeared as a shock to me. Oh well.. u cant come sydney n stay home all day long rite.. so they were forgiven.. Anyway I was there to dump my luggage only cos my friend James came to pick me at my hostel to go for dinner..haha.. so I do have my own plans too .. Just that I love to complain..haha.. We went to a nice and quite class Jap restaurant dun ask me the name .. I dun remember at all.. all I remember is the tasty food.. It was nice N EXPENSIVE.. so thanks James..haha.. then after dinner.. it was a walk down Darling Harbour, Opera House, Harbour Bridge and many other places in the vicinity.. some places I obviously dun remember as u can see.. I would say that James would make a fantastic tour guide, constantly explained stuff to me..so there was much laughter n talk during the walk.. It was great catching up since we last met 5 months ago so it was good. The night life here is pretty vibrant. At 10.30pm, I could still see a lot of people coming out of Opera House.. Unlike adelaide which would be a super dead city by then.. cannot imagine how I am going to go back there n face the torture man.. No more shopping.. *sobs* I came back the first night pretty tired at abt 12 midnight.. Before I came back, we planned to go Fish Market the next day with his friends.. some nice gals n guys.. Sydney OCFers so I was pretty much looking forward to it.. I went shopping in the morning for gifts.. as u guys know I shop alot.. I was pretty excited when I saw the large shopping malls everywhere.. they have simply just too much stuff.. I didnt shop for long cos we had to go the Fish Market.. Talking abt the Fish Market just makes me drool.. I took loads of pictures there.. the food is good.. the scenery is nice.. We ordered eel, sashimi and a platter for 5 which includes prawns, mussels, squids and many more.. I havent had my hearts fill of seafood for a long long time.. so I really enjoyed that to the max.. My friends who came with me from adelaide n I intend to go back n eat again on tuesday cos we r leaving on wednesday.. we would seriously miss it.. I wish it can be found in adelaide.. we didnt go to much places after that cos I was tired.. was just walking around sydney Uni.. then dropped by James by to rest n to talk.. cos I could hardly move.. it seems like food burns easily here n I was constantly hungry but its great cos I can eat again.. thats fantastic.. I had homecooked dinner with James and Brian.. Both big chefs.. I just sat there as a Queen n did nothing.. However looking at them cook makes me look bad cos I am obviously lazy around but then again I was not a fantastic cook and I was in the mood to cook either.. so I just rested .. Listened to carpenters music.. Dinner was home cooked carbonara, roasted chicken, broccoli and garlic bread.. pretty much a lot for 3 people.. I was pondering when can I cook that well.. but oh well not that I cannot ..just that I eat simple.. I just cannot be bothered..haha.. But thanks to James and Brian... After dinner, we were discussing where we should go next.. The James said something like this " u r here in sydney u should go to Gay Bar for a look..." Initially I didnt want to but then after that I thought.. Y not? So I was like sure.. but the 2 of u must go inside with me.. u should have looked at their expression on their face.. looks horrendous.. "nah we will just accompany u to walk pass n U look inside ok? But going inside is a big no no.." I was like ok.. Better than nothing still.. so I just looked inside.... not going to share here wat I saw though.. "Not NICE" *blah* Anyway that was pretty much wat I did the last 2 days.. I will be away at Blue Mountain from today till 9th July so wont be much updates till then.. Brian is coming to pick me up to go Bondi beach n shopping again before our trip soon.. n gonna have Jap food for lunch again.. Its gonna be an exciting day again... Alright I will be back soon k..Wont forget to enjoy myself..

Tuesday, July 04, 2006

I have finally packed all my luggage n gotten ready for my sydney trip.. Guess wat time did I pack..2am.. N how long did I take .. surprisingly only 30 mins..haha.. Gotten my winter clothes n my new beanie in there.. cos its gonna be freezing at bluemountain.. Brr.. 2 degrees.. all day long..haha..To check out more info on the exciting things that I will enjoy at bluemountain, visit www.bluemountain.com.au ... However dun envy too much.. try to enjoy ur holidays in adelaide n back home ok? Though I know it would probably not be as interesting as mine.. opps.. I said something wrong.. dun bash me up or.. u will have no present from me.. I was checking out the best places to shop last night n I am so glad that the hostel which I will be staying is at Pitt street n the whole stretch will have loads of shopping.. awe... Guess this time I will spend pretty much a lot of money.. cos I will be too tempted to buy a little of everything..haha.. I will be away for like more than a week so dun miss me too much.. I will try to miss u guys.. but I guess I will be too busy enjoying myself.. Tonight after I land at 6.15pm, my friend will be fetching me to makan at Jap restaurant to celebrate my birthday.. I havent eaten good Jap food for a long time.. For those who dunno.. sashimi is my favourite... thinking abt it just makes me hungry.. haha.. anyway.. I will try to update when I am away k.. cos the place I am staying have unlimited internet..hehe.. be back soon..
